Literacy: A Lineage

Melanie Luken the author of Literacy: A Lineage begins her story of her life by explaining how important her father was in her life. her father was a writer, reader, and artist. her father was a stay at home dad for the most part and thought her the valuable lesson of how to write, which would stick with her for the rest of her life during christmas instead of get her father presents she would write stories for him. This would turn into a tradition for them. She would end up majoring in french but she had a great struggle with french because she didn't have any traditions for french which made it difficult for her to learn. she says how she may not be rich with money or physical things but she is rich in literature.
